In wildlife conservation, rewilding refers to restoring habitats and creating corridors between
preserved lands to allow declining populations to rebound. For so many of us, we have become
alienated from nature — “unwilded”. If we reconnect with natural landscapes and animals through
understanding and compassion, we can rewild ourselves, reclaim a sense of wonder and sensitivity
to the perspectives and needs of those around us, and regain empathy and compassion for animals
and for one another, all while improving our own well-being and happiness! By applying rewilding
to ourselves we can become reenchanted with the world, acting from the inside out, and dissolving
false boundaries to truly connect compassionately and joyfully with nature, one’s self, and others.
Our ReWilding retreats combine mindfulness practices, horse experiences, and nature immersion,
intermingled with several short yet insightful micro-education lessons (from horses and nature), to
help you recognize and break free from the distressing noise, pace, and demands of our domesticated
society, its false illusions, and unhealthiness; to experientially reconnect with and restore the wild within
your authentic, natural inner self; to recapture a genuine sense of peace, confidence, happiness, and
liberty of mind and spirit independent of the judgment of others and still attainable in our daily lives!
